Four additional hospitals have joined NYACH’s Citywide Nurse Residency Program (NRP) Consortium following an open-enrollment period for any non-participating New York City hospitals. Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, and The Brooklyn Hospital Center have all joined the Consortium, which is working in collaboration to launch the NRP this spring, bringing the total number of participating hospitals up to 28.
The NRP will provide newly-hired, first time nurses with mentorship support and on-the job training that focuses on topics including ethics, decision making, clinical leadership, and the incorporation of research-based evidence into practice. The goal of the program is to promote nurse satisfaction, performance, and retention.
The Citywide NRP is being offered in partnership with the Greater New York Hospital Association, NYU Langone Health, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Find more information about the NRP HERE.
