Medical Billing Certificate Program Featured in Crain’s and Modern Healthcare

Initiative Updates

The success of the graduating class of the Medical Billing Certificate Program at LaGuardia Community College (LGACC) was recently highlighted by Crain’s Health Pulse and Modern Healthcare. Weill Cornell Medicine was recently joined by Mount Sinai Health System as an employer partner on the educational program, which is the result of ongoing collaboration and partnership between NYACH, Weill Cornell Medicine, the Harvard Business School Club of New York, and LAGCC.

The 267-hour enhanced, industry-informed Medical Billing Certificate Program provides participants both the technical and professional skills needed to obtain their first job as a medical biller, an in-demand occupation. Upon graduation, students receive nine college credits and interview with the employer partners.
