Mayor de Blasio Launches the NYC Public Health Corps

The NYC Public Health Corps will reimagine and bolster the public health workforce across New York City, focusing on neighborhoods that were most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic

New York—Mayor Bill de Blasio announced today that the City has established the NYC Public Health Corps (PHC), a new, innovative effort to expand the public health workforce, strengthen community health infrastructure, and promote health equity for the communities hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Health Department and NYC Health + Hospitals will lead the initiative.
